Polish Masterpieces in Moscow

An exhibition of masterpieces of Polish art is on show at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow until mid-August.

Entitled The symbol and form: Polish painting 1880-1939, the exhibition features over 140 works by outstanding Polish artists, including Jan Matejko, Jacek Malczewski, Wojciech Weiss, Tadeusz Makowski and Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz.

The exhibits come from 14 Polish museums as well as private collections. The exhibition has been hailed as finest display of Polish art in Russia for at least 25 years.
