Bands Tune Up for Mys這wice

The town of Mys這wice in Silesia province will host this year's OFF Festival of alternative music Aug. 6-9. The special guest of the festival is Jonathan Poneman, the president of the legendary Sub Pop record label in Seattle which has released albums by the likes of Nirvana, Soundgarden and, more recently, Fleet Foxes.

A total of over 60 acts will play at the five festival venues, including Spiritualized from Britain and The National from the United States. There will also be music acts from Iceland, Germany, Canada and New Zealand and Polish performers include Pustki, Lech Janerka, Maria Peszek and Cool Kids of Death. One of the festival organizers is Artur Rojek, the vocalist from the pop-rock band Myslovitz, which hails from Mys這wice. The festival was held for the first time in 2006.
