A mass bike ride traditionally organized by the Warsaw Uprising Museum (MPW) and the Warsaw Critical Mass (WMK), an organization of bicycle enthusiasts, to remember the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising against the city's Nazi German occupiers in August 1944 will be composed of two parts this year. The first will be staged on Trzech Krzyży Square Aug. 2 at 1 p.m. It will officially open the 66th Tour de Pologne bicycle race. The organizers, MPW, WMK and the Lang Team, will join forces to pay tribute to the heroes of the Warsaw Uprising and to outstanding athletes who took part in it.

The mass bike ride itself will be held Aug. 8. The ride starts at 5 p.m. at the corner of Przyokopowa and Prosta Streets. People who want to take part can sign up on the www.1944.pl/masa website.
