Swiss dark and gothic metal duo Lacrimosa will play at Warsaw's Progresja Club Sept. 1.

Lacrimosa was formed in 1990 by German multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Tilo Wolff. The name was taken from Lacrimosa, the penultimate part of Sequens from Requiem Mass in D Minor KV 626 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In 1993, the band was joined by Finnish vocalist and instrumentalist Anne Nurmi, who sang with Lacrimosa on their tour promoting the Satura album. On tours and during recording sessions, Lacrimosa often team up with musicians they do not work with on a regular basis.

Lacrimosa have played in Poland four times so far. In 2001, they performed at the Stodoła club and the Wisła Hall in Warsaw, and in 2005, they gave concerts at the Studio club in Cracow and the Pomeranian Philharmonic in Bydgoszcz.
