Prof. Witold T. Bielecki, Deputy Rector of the Kozminski University in Warsaw, talks to the Voice:

What are the biggest advantages of the MBA studies offered by the Kozminski University?
Our MBA programs have just undergone a considerable makeover. We now call the studies "Kozminski MBA,". It brings together all the experience we have gathered since 1989, when we launched the first MBA program in Poland. For some time, we have been carrying out specialist MBA programs addressed to individual professional groups. We started with the healthcare sector, then more groups were formed by engineers, financiers, HR managers and the IT sector. Two terms are identical for all students while the third and final term features electives, which are lectures that students can choose from depending on what field they work in. Last year, we decided to market the programs under the brand name Kozminski MBA, largely owing to the prestigious AMBA accreditation we had obtained for the programs.

We also have a European MBA program, offered together with the Bradford University. Complying with British MBA standards, this program is carried out entirely in English.

There is also the Euro*MBA program, a joint project by six schools, ours and the Universiteit Maastricht, IAE Aix-en-Provence, AUDENCIA, EADA, and HHL-Leipzig. Our school and the other five hold the EQUIS accreditation and some of them even boast AACSB, the top American accreditation. We too have applied for AACSB and once we obtain it, which I hope will happen next year, we will become one of only a few European schools to boast what is called the triple crown, that is, the three main accreditations for business schools. Euro*MBA is a distant learning program during which, once in three months, students come for a residential week in one of the above schools. The students evaluate the sessions and I am pleased to say that we top their league chart.

What are the criteria for enrollment in MBA studies?
The standards are uniform for all our programs. The candidates have to pass a GMAT test (logic and mathematics) and they also need to have at least three years of experience as managers.
