Satirical Take on Life
September 2, 2009
Article's tools:

Warsaw's Museum of Cartoon Art and Caricature is hosting an exhibition of over 250 pieces by caricaturist and satirist Marek Raczkowski. The show, marking the artist's 50th birthday, documents some 15 years of his work. The oldest items on display are from the mid-1990s, when Raczkowski contributed to the Życie Warszawy daily and Polityka weekly. The most recent ones appeared in Przekrój weekly. Raczkowski is one of best Polish graphic artists. The exhibition shows that for him there is hardly any subject that is taboo. The work on show is arranged by themes, including the police, religion, family and society.

Until Sept. 6, Marek Raczkowski. Rysunki (Drawings), Museum of Cartoon Art and Caricature, 11 Kozia St.
