Macy Gray, one of the most popular soul and r'n'b singers, is returning to Warsaw to play at the Palace of Culture's Kongresowa Hall Sept. 6.

Her debut album On How Is Life in 1999, made her voice, with its distinctive timbre, widely known. The album sold 7 million copies and was considered the best pop debut of the year. Her next albums turned out less successful. Many fans of the genre still associate Gray with her first hits, such as "Do Something" and "I Try," which won her a Grammy in the categories of song and record of the year. The next album, The Id, is mostly remembered for "Sweet Baby," which Gray recorded with Erykah Badu. Of all songs on the third album, The Trouble With Being Myself, the dance piece "When I See You" reached highest in the charts.

Gray now has five albums to her name and has sold millions of copies. Previously, she performed in Warsaw at an open-air concert in Sowińskiego Park in 2007.
