Luxembourg Honor for Penderecki

Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg will be visiting Cracow Sept. 6 to honor famous Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki with the L'Ordre de Commandeur (Commander's Order) award. The focal point of the event will be a concert by the Lucilin ensemble, which will be held at St. Barbara's Church in the Old Town. The concert will be attended by Grand Duke Henri, the ambassador of Luxembourg to Poland and prominent government officials.

The Dialogue-Edward Steichen and Contemporary Portrait Photographers exhibition, which opened Aug. 25, is the second event in Cracow organized by the embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The exhibition features the work of Luxembourg photographer Edward Steichen, as well as younger up-and-coming contemporary photographers.

Lucilin concert: Sept. 6, 8 p.m., St. Barbara's Church, 8 Mały Rynek, Old Town.
