Chopin 2010 Celebrations Office
Warsaw Destination Alliance and Chopin 2010 Celebrations Office representatives met in August to discuss future joint promotion activities devoted to Chopin Year 2010. The WDA and its members said they were delighted to join the celebrations and promotion of Chopin's birth anniversary. It was a great opportunity to promote Warsaw considering that the great composer is one of Poland's strongest brands, the WDA said.

The WDA will welcome the Chopin 2010 Celebrations Office among its members in the following weeks.

MT Polska Becomes WDA Member
Trade Fair and Congress Center MT Polska joined the WDA in August.

The WDA will work closely with MT Polska during several trade fairs, including TT Warsaw, Event Fair and World Hotels Fair. The WDA will organize discussion panels during the 17th International Travel Show TT Warsaw, to be held in Warsaw Sept. 24-26.

Aimed at the tourism industry, last year's TT Warsaw fair promoted 527 exhibitors from 56 countries, and was attended by nearly 20,000 visitors, almost half of which were industry professionals. For more information please visit www.mtpolska.com.pl

WDA and Partners Sum up WOW Campaign
Targeted at foreigners, the July-August Wonders of Warsaw (WOW) campaign featured a promotional stay for one person for 280 euros and packages for two starting from 430 euros. The packages covered the cost of flight, two nights' accommodation and breakfast in one of several selected five-star hotels in Warsaw.

WDA Chairman Alex Kloszewski said, "Thanks to our partners the first Wonders of Warsaw promotion was successful. There were many foreigners interested in discovering Warsaw who took advantage of the promotional offer. We do not yet have the final results of this summer's campaign, but we can already say that WOW will be continued. We're happy to increase tourism to Warsaw, offering visitors best quality services at the best price."

The goal of the joint LOT Polish Airlines and WDA campaign is to actively promote Warsaw in Europe. The growing popularity of city breaks shows that an increasing number of people want to discover new European spots during weekends and attractive prices encourage Europeans to choose Warsaw as their weekend destination. The WDA and LOT will continue the campaign with City Break packages for the Christmas holiday season.

WOW partners are: WDA, LOT Polish Airlines, WDA associated five-star hotels (InterContinental Warszawa, Jan III Sobieski, Mamaison Le Regina, Polonia Palace Hotel, Radisson BLU Centrum Warsaw, Warsaw Marriott Hotel) and HRS (Hotel Reservation Service). The promotion is supported by the Warsaw City Promotion Office.
