CB Richard Ellis 45th in Eco-Friendly Table
Real estate services company CB Richard Ellis came 45th in a table of eco-friendly companies drawn up by the U.S. edition of the influential Newsweek magazine (2009 Green Rankings). The table, published in the Sept. 28 edition, evaluates the commitment of America's 500 largest corporations to environmental protection. The table is based on resource consumption and emission levels for each company as well as corporate rules and strategies regarding environmental protection. CB Richard Ellis was the highest placed among companies on the commercial real estate market.
In 2007, CB Richard Ellis became the first commercial real estate company to pledge to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
