The four-star Mercure Grand Warszawa Hotel, one of the most well-known hotels in Warsaw, is getting a well-deserved facelift. Before it joined the Mercure chain, the Grand had been operated by Orbis Hotels. The first guests checked in in 1957.

During the renovation, the number of rooms has been decreased from 354 to 299, as a result of which the rooms are now larger and have more modern equipment. Each room is air-conditioned and has satellite TV, pay TV, free internet access, a safe, a minibar and tea and coffee making facilities.

The hotel ground floor will be changed as well. The reception will be moved to a different place, while the lobby will be enlarged at the expense of the casino. Further plans include the construction of an underground garage for 50 cars and an outdoor parking lot for 17 cars. The hotel has also been equipped with a state-of-the-art system to reduce electricity consumption.
