To stay prepared for NATO operations, the Polish Navy holds regular maneuvers on the Baltic Sea. The latest maneuvers, held in October, of the 3rd Navy Flotilla stationed in the coastal city of Gdynia encompassed submarine, artillery and torpedo firing exercises and rescue, anti-sabotage and logistic exercises.

The maneuvers took place in the southern waters of the Baltic Sea and involved the Gen. K. Pułaski guided-missile frigate, which fired MU-90 dummy torpedoes, the Bielik and Kondor submarines, which monitored maritime transportation routes and carried out torpedo exercises, the Orkan missile ship, the Piast and Zbyszko rescue vessels, and the Bałtyk tanker, which practiced open-sea fuel loading.
