WDA Supports Indie Film Festival
The Grand Off-World Off Film Awards is one of the most important events promoting independent cinema in Poland and one that also has an international reputation. The organizers aim to pick out the best independent filmmakers from all over the world. This year the awards are divided into 11 categories: directing, scriptwriting, editing, cinematography, best actor, best actress, best feature, best documentary, best animation, best non-European production and lifetime achievement award. The WDA for the second time is supporting the Grand Off Awards held on Nov. 21.

Warsaw as CEE Economic Hub
The WDA together with The Warsaw Voice organized a panel discussion entitled Can Warsaw become a CEE Economic Hub? on Nov. 4. The discussion was moderated by Alex Kloszewski of the WDA and Juliusz Kłosowski, general manager of The Warsaw Voice.

The panelists included Paweł Pawłowski, director of the City of Warsaw Investors' Office; Mirosław A. Boruc, president of the Polish Brand Institute; Juliusz Kłosowski of Voice; and Marcin Kaszuba of Ernst & Young.

Topics included the promotional value of Poland being an economic hub for the country and for Warsaw. The need for a Convention Center next to the National Stadium was also discussed.

The forum was a precursor to the Warsaw-CEE Financial Hub conference to be held Nov. 26-27, of which the WDA is one of the organizers.

New Look and Logo
The WDA has refreshed its look and logo design with the help of a new member, the Brandwell Agency. The agency will handle WDA's future promotional design needs. Brandwell is a branding agency set up by two brothers, Marcin and Pablo Biardzki, who specialize in creating and revitalizing brands and in graphic projects. Both brothers have gained experience in local and international advertising agencies and graphic studios over many years.
Brandwell joined the WDA in November as a gold member.

The Belvedere Restaurant is one of the most original and exclusive dining places in Warsaw. It is located in the New Orangery of the beautiful Royal Łazienki Park. The elegant interiors with an avant-garde touch were designed by stage designer Boris Kudlicka, and the combination of subtle lighting and chill-out music adds to the unique experience. The restaurant is a favorite among diplomats and people from the business and artistic worlds. The Belvedere Restaurant joined the WDA in November.
