The Polsat commercial television network bought a two-engine Eurocopter EC-135 helicopter at the end of last year. It will be mainly used for Polsat News channel reports and for the Wydarzenia news program broadcast on the Polsat channel.

The helicopter is equipped with a gyroscopic high-definition (HD) camera mounted on the outside and a standard-definition (SD) camera in the cockpit. There is also a DVCAM recorder and a vision mixer aboard the helicopter. It is possible to transmit live HD broadcasts from the helicopter within a radius of 100 kilometers and live SD broadcasts within a radius of 200 kilometers.

The TVN media group, which owns the TVN television station, Polsat's rival, has two single-engine Robinson R44 Raven II Newscopter helicopters. The first one was bought in 2007, the second one in 2009.
