Spectacular Pink Floyd Tribute
The Australian Pink Floyd Show is returning to Poland. The spectacle, rated the world's best tribute show by Britain's The Times daily, will be visiting Wrocław, Bydgoszcz, Warsaw and Katowice. Their Warsaw gig will be held at the Torwar Arena Jan. 29.
The band started out low key enough by working the Aussie pub scene. Today, 20 years on, The Australian Pink Floyd Show is an awe-inspiring extravaganza which has been honed to perfection and which delivers faithful renditions of the performances of the legendary British group. The group has hired acoustic specialist Colin Norfield and lighting technicians who have previously worked with Pink Floyd.
They appeared at the first international Pink Floyd fan convention in 1993 and played at David Gilmour's 50th birthday three years later. Richard Wright and Guy Pratt joined the musicians onstage to play "Comfortably Numb." Pink Floyd members have often shown up at their tribute band's gigs.
During their two-hour-plus concert, The Australian Pink Floyd Show will be playing material from classic albums like The Wall, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and Dark Side of the Moon.
