McKinsey R&D Center for Wrocław
International strategic consulting firm McKinsey & Company is opening a new Knowledge Research and Development Center in the southwestern city of Wrocław, the fourth of its kind in a global chain of McKinsey Knowledge Centers. The company plans to create up to 100 jobs for analysts.
"We plan to hire highly qualified analysts to develop advanced business skills," says Jacek Poświata, managing director of McKinsey & Company in Poland. "The center will provide services to McKinsey's consultants and specialists in Europe and other continents," he adds.
The center will offer jobs to top graduates, including those from Wrocław's universities, and also to experts with professional experience in individual sectors. All will receive extra training in data searches, data analysis and in various sectors, for example, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, telecommunications, transport and logistics, the automotive industry, operational activities and consumer goods.
"McKinsey's investment confirms that Poland's biggest asset are the people who live here," says Sławomir Majman, president of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ). "Thanks to well educated, competent staff, we have become a business service hub for Europe. McKinsey's vigorous development in Poland testifies to the welcoming climate for investors here," he added.
The center will start operating before the end of this year.
