Husqvarna to Build Factory in Mielec
Swedish company Husqvarna, one of the world's oldest and largest producers of lawn mowers, chain saws and hand-held gardening tools, plans to build a production facility in Mielec in southeastern Poland.
The new factory, which will cost around 250 million Swedish kroner to build, will manufacture self-propelled mowers and gardening equipment. It is scheduled to come on stream by the end of this year. To begin with, the factory will rely on a work force of around 100, the company said.
Poland is a key market in Europe for Husqvarna, according to company executives. The company says its Polish dealership network comprises almost 400 retail and service outlets across the country.
