The fourth Krzysztof Komeda film score festival will be held April 24-25 at the Ujazdowski Castle Center for Contemporary Art (CSW) in Warsaw. The festival is a broad review of the work of Komeda, and will include concerts featuring jazz stars, exhibitions and screenings of movies with scores by Komeda. This year's festival will also feature animated films.
Among the attractions of the festival is the European Stars for Komeda concert, featuring internationally famous Swedish pianist Bobo Stenson, and Polish Stars-Komeda and Inspiration, a special concert performed by the Zbigniew Namysłowski quintet. Namysłowski is considered one of Poland's greatest jazz musicians.
The festival will be accompanied by an exhibition entitled Polański-Komeda with movie posters from the Kinematografia collection in ŁódĽ. Shown across Europe, the exhibition comprises posters designed around the world for director Roman Polanski's movies that have scores by Komeda.
