It gives me great pleasure to be able to recommend Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań as a place to study, conduct research or work with. Our university is the largest state institution of higher learning in northwestern Poland. We have occupied the upper echelons of Polish higher education league tables for many years. The education we provide and the research we conduct, both on a par with European standards, are going through a comprehensive academic, educational and investment developmental phase. An example of this is our campus being built at Morasko, in the northern part of Poznań, the most modern in Poland.

Many and varied are the opportunities for planning joint undertakings now opening up before us. You are warmly invited to enroll in any of our undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate courses and programs. You can avail yourself of the extensive resources of our libraries, laboratories, and sporting and cultural facilities. Our academic staff numbers roughly 2,800 (318 professors, 454 staff with post-doctoral degrees and 1,514 PhDs) and we have more than 1,300 PhD students.

May your time at our university be happy and fruitful. May the experience and impressions you take away from Poznań be truly memorable, and may your professional careers fulfill your wishes and expectations.

Prof. Bronisław Marciniak, Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University
