“Connoisseur’s Evenings” at Le Meridien Bristol Hotel
The Le Meridien Bristol Hotel is a special place whose history is inseparably linked with the history of Warsaw and Poland.
The founder and the first owner of the hotel was world-famous pianist Ignacy Jan Paderewski, a politician and patriot. Built over a century ago, the hotel has hosted countless cultural events. Faithful to this tradition, the hotel’s current managers and staff feel obliged to join in the celebrations of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Frederic Chopin. On the evening of May 13, the elegant interiors of the Le Meridien Bristol Hotel hosted an elegant dinner along with a special selection of drinks. The guests, invited by the Le Meridien Bristol Director General Michael Goerdt, took a break to hear a 40-minute Chopin recital performed by Paweł Kowalski. The guests of the first “Connoisseur’s Evening” included descendants of Polish aristocrats and people from the world of culture, business and politics—the kind of guests that Chopin once played for.
The “Connoisseur’s Evenings,” which cost zl.165 per person, will be held twice a month. The next evenings will be held May 27 and June 17. Advance bookings are recommended.
