Poles spent more on foreign trips in the first quarter of 2012 with total outlays reaching EUR 39 billion, up 26.8 percent year-on-year, the National Bank of Poland (NBP) said on Friday.

In the same period foreigners spent EUR 1.76 billion in Poland, up 14.5 percent year-on-year," NBP added.

In the first quarter of 2012 Poles working abroad sent to Poland EUR 928 million, up 7.7 percent y/y. Most money was sent to Poland by Poles working in Germany, Great Britain and Ireland," NBP said.
