To celebrate the International Chocolate Day (September 4) Poland’s confectionery producer E. Wedel has made a 6-meter-tall palm tree made of chocolate and placed it on the De Gaulle’a roundabout.

The huge sweet tree is standing not far from another palm – an artistic object created by Joanna Rajkowska in 2002 which since then has already become one of Warsaw landmarks.

The chocolate palm tree is actually a replica of Rajkowska’s work and was made by chocolate maestro Janusz Profus and his team who so far have created many untypical chocolate sculptures.
The work on the chocolate palm tree, which weigh 500 kilograms, took 300 hours.
