Russia's state nuclear energy corporation Rosatom wants to take part in the tender for building nuclear power plant in Poland, the concern's engineering projects manager Sergey Boyarkin told PAP Polish news agency.
"If a tender is launched in Poland, we are ready to present our offer, but we are waiting for the conditions of this tender," Boyarkin said adding that Rosatom is 99% certain it will take part in the tender.
However, Poland could find it cheaper to buy electricity from the nuclear power plant in the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, to be put online soon, Boyarkin added.
Rosatom's nuclear power plant in the exclave of Kaliningrad will have a total output of 2,400 MW, half of which would be allocated to exports.
