PGNiG Termika's plant EC Zeran shut down after fire

Heat and power generation unit of Poland's gas monopoly PGNiG, PGNiG Termika shut down its Warsaw-based plant EC Zeran on Friday after a fire broke out a day earlier, a PGNiG Termika spokesperson Dorota Krasowska said.
Another of PGNiG’s Warsaw-based plants, EC Siekierki, will compensate for the production stoppage, Krasowska added.
"Currently the entire plant is being suspended and the works are taken over by our heat and power plant in Siekierki," Krasowska said. "I would prefer not to promise anything but it is technically possible that Zeran will not have to be turned off and we will manage to deal with the situation by increasing generation at Siekierki."
