Poland's telecom market is expected to grow by 3.4% to PLN 48.6 billion in 2012, but decline to PLN 47.3 billion in 2013 and remain at that level in 2014, a report by Audytel consultancy showed.
"This year the telecom market will reach the record value of PLN 48.6 billion despite the decline in Mobile Termination Rates and a less pronounced success of the Euro 2012 tournament, but the outlook for future years looks more bleak," head of analysis at Audytel Grzegorz Bernatek told reporters on Tuesday.
Audytel expects the market to be worth PLN 47.34 billion in 2013 and PLN 47.32 billion in 2014. The market may start growing in 2015, reaching PLN 47.94 billion in that year, PLN 48.6 billion in 2016 and PLN 49.28 billion in 2017, according to the report forecasts.
As for mobile internet services, Audytel sees the possibility of the number of users reaching 3-4 million at end-2012, according to Bernatek.
