An international exhibition entitled Mediators opens at the National Museum in Warsaw May 20. Twenty-one artists from four continents will be showing their work in a specially designed U-shaped container in the museum courtyard.

Works by the likes of Marie Jo Lafontaine from Belgium, Richard T. Walter from the United States, Jaan Toomik from Estonia, Hye Rim Lee from South Korea, Jarosław Kozłowski from Poznań, Poland, Miao Xiaochun from China, Fred Wilson from Britain, and Braco Dimitijević from Croatia force us to let go of our own selfish perspective and take a wider view the world, noticing the different approaches to the problems all people face whatever their geographical setting. These problems include anxiety caused by anonymity, opposition to indoctrination and surveillance, but also the need to seek out an identity, the yearning for self-determination and love, and the need for religiousness and acceptance.
