Poland's budget deficit at the end of August likely stood at just above PLN 21 billion, deputy Finance Minister Hanna Majszczyk has told deputies.

"Taking into account the latest information... the deficit after eight months is slightly above PLN 21 billion," Majszczyk said.

As recently as Wednesday morning, Majszczyk told PAP that the budget deficit at the end of August likely stood at around PLN 23 billion.
