Parliament agrees on Croatia's EU Accession Treaty ratification
The Sejm (lower house) Friday approved a bill on ratification by Poland of Croatia's EU accession treaty with 431 MPs voting for, 1 abstaining and no one against.

The ratification act will be signed by President Bronislaw Komorowski
Earlier the house rejected a ratification act authored by right-wing opposition Law and Justice (PiS) foreseeing the passage of the ratification act by a two-thirds majority.

PiS wanted the vote to be held in accordance with Article 90 of Poland’s Constitution, which requires a two-thirds majority in parliament, arguing that including the Balkan state in EU would change Poland’s position and weight within the union.
