Promoting Chopin on CNN
The CNN International channel is running an advertising campaign called Visit Chopin in Warsaw during June and July. The ads produced by the City of Warsaw complement promotional programs about Poland made by CNN. Chopin Spectacular Canceled
The Warsaw Destination Alliance Foundation has announced that a simultaneous concert for 100 pianos, called Chopin Lives and planned for Aug. 29, has had to be canceled.

Alex Kloszewski, president of the WDA Foundation said, “The main reason for the cancellation of the Chopin Lives concert is the tragic crash of the presidential airplane near Smolensk on April 10. Our country, the government and many institutions and companies painfully feel the effects of the April 10 tragedy. The WDA Foundation met with representatives of many government institutions and private companies involved in organizing the Chopin Lives concert over the first four weeks after the tragedy. Many of them suggested that we abandon plans to organize the concert at Pi≥sudski Square in Warsaw.”

Kloszewski added, “The WDA Executive Committee would like to thank all individuals, authorities, companies and institutions, which supported the event and were involved in organizing the Chopin Lives concert.”
