S&P upgrades Polish banking sector risk score

The Polish banking sector earned an upgrade of the risk score component of Banking Industry Country Risk Assessment (BICRA) to '5' from '6' on improved regulatory and supervisory framework, S&P said in a statement.
BICRA itself was maintained at '5'.
We believe the Polish banking system's regulatory and supervisory frameworks have improved in recent years after the regulator took actions to protect the banking sector, including limiting dividend distribution, the agency said
