Poland to consider euro adoption when euro zone recovers – NBP head

Poland will take into consideration introducing the common currency when the euro zone resolves its problems, central bank NBP head Marek Belka said on Monday during the opening of an exhibition devoted to the euro in the central Polish city of Lodz.
Taking prospective euro adoption into account, criticism of the euro area should not be too severe or else "when it's time to introduce the euro, we will have a big problem to persuade the society to the country's entry to the zone," he added.
Belka pointed out that in discussions on the euro zone one should clearly separate economic and political arguments, the latter often being biased and extreme.
