The number of insolvencies of construction sector companies has increased several times this year, exceeding any initial expectations in this respect, an Euler Hermes report cited by the daily Rzeczpospolita shows.

More bankruptcies are sure to come, with the future job losses estimated at up to 100,000 people.

Of the 200 construction companies associated in the Polish chamber of road construction, at least 10% are in danger of going bust, according to the chamber president Wojciech Malusi.
