PKP favors privatization of unit PKP Cargo via stock market
October 4, 2012
Poland's railway operator PKP recommended privatization of its rail cargo unit PKP Cargo via the stock exchange, rather than with the participation of an investor, PKP's spokesman Lukasz Kurpiewski told PAP Polish news agency.
PKP's recommendation was sent to the Transport Ministry, which will take the final decision on the matter.
In March 2011 the government decided PKP Cargo should be privatized via sale of 50% stake plus one share to a strategic investor.
