Iwona Kossmann, chairwoman of the board of DCG SA, talks to Zofia Szelińska.

What new trends will there be at Deni Cler in its fashion collection for the fall/winter season?
Our fall/winter collection is called “Avvolgente” which is the Italian word for “enveloping.” Novelties this season include soft cashmeres and camel wools. Coats have slick shapes that wrap you in softness and luxury. Shawls and knitwear create a touch of sensuality. Quilted jackets made from technical materials and slim trousers made from delicate jersey are also a novelty this season. A monochromatic look is very fashionable. Soft, sensual fabrics give an interesting contrast to the smooth look of leather accessories, belts, purses and gloves.

The new collection also features new colors – shades of gray and black dominate. Among other classic colors we can find shades of brown – from caramel, ginger to dark, chocolate shades. And a new color – mosto – the color of a ripe cherry with a touch of brown and burgundy. Classic violet appears as an accent. The whole collection is livened up by tones of red, light beige and ecru.

In jewelry an important role is played by zirconium stones, glass and Swarovski crystals that have a new cut. Forms from the world of fauna (dragonflies, butterflies) as well as floral details dominate. There is also jewelry characterized by abstract, geometrical shapes.

The stylish look of the collection is emphasized by hats made especially for Deni Cler by the well known Italian brand Borsalino. Established nearly 150 years ago, Borsalino remains unconquered in its elegance, creation and respect for Italian craftsmanship. The hand-made hats are the perfect finishing of the numerous creations in the latest Avvolgente collection.

What should a trendy businesswoman look like?
Women’s role in the business world keeps growing. Statistics show that companies headed by women have increasingly good results. A professional look is as important as skills and experience. Women in their business attire do not want to lose their femininity.

There are several factors that are important when choosing an outfit:
1. your personality
2. style preferences
3. colors that emphasize your look
In response to individual needs, Deni Cler creates exclusive collections that combine classic elegance with the latest trends. An important element of each collection are the carefully selected fabrics and top-quality materials.

Iwona Kossmann’s 10 rules for a professional business look:
1. The width of a jacket should be selected according to the width of the shoulders, not the belly width.
2. Jacket sleeves should cover the wrists, unless it is a three-quarters sleeved jacket.
3. Shirts should be buttoned up above the chest.
4. Skirt length should depend on the look of the legs, though not shorter than just above the knee.
5. Colors should be toned down, though not boring and should match your eye color rather than your hair color, which may change.
6. Trousers should be long enough to cover your shoe heels half way.
7. Pantyhose in the summer is no longer in fashion (the exception to this are offices with air conditioning). During the fall and winter season they should be opaque.
8. High-heeled shoes must be comfortable as we have to wear them all day.
9. Both a manicure and pedicure are essential and as important as the clothes we wear.
10. Jewelry is an important accessory but cannot dominate your look.
