Natural gas monopolist PGNiG saw its subsidiary charged with gas storage facilities, OSM, acquire a private customer for gas storage, the dailies Parkiet reports.

OSM refused to disclose the name of the client.

To date, only PGNiG and state gas infrastructure operator Gaz-System have had access to storage facilities, the daily writes.

OSM expects to sign a contract with another client soon and expects increased interest for gas storage in view of the planned gas market liberalization as well as PGNiG's greater storage capacities, according to OSM CEO Joanna Kijas.
