Poland is working on changes to the telecom law, which will enable the state to actively manage frequencies - take away concessions from companies that do not make use of them and introduce payment for extending concessions, the daily Puls Biznesu reports.

The proposed regulations mirror similar solutions in many European countries. Poland could thus earn several hundred million zloty on extension of expiring concessions held by the biggest operators - TPSA's mobile operator Orange, Zygmunt Solorz-Zak's Polkomtel and T-Mobile unit PTC, the daily writes.
