Poland's Labor Ministry wants to tie the amount of sick leave for entrepreneurs paid by the social insurance board ZUS more directly to the length of period of paying social insurance premiums, the daily Gazeta Wyborcza reports.

The proposed changes are tailored at curtailing the possibility of receiving a maximum sick leave payment of some PLN 6,000 a month after just three months of paying maximum social insurance premiums, the daily writes.
