Poland’s top bank PKO BP will become the leader in terms of financing renewable energy investments, the bank's representative said as PKO BP intends to extend a loan to Marguerite fund for building two wind farms in Poland for EUR 30 million.

PKO BP was one of five banks to pour EUR 100 mln each to the fund earlier.

The move takes place at the time when other Polish banks tend to withdraw from the segment due to uncertainties related to the regulatory framework, bank and renewable power representatives said.

But PKO BP's exposure in the sector should not be big, experts added.
