Poland's unemployment will likely be close to 13% at end-2012 and it may achieve similar or slightly higher level at end-2013, if all the labor market initiatives work and economic growth holds at a decent level, deputy Labor Minister Jacek Mecina told TVN CNBC broadcaster.

"There is a chance that there we will repeat the level from end-2012, perhaps a little more than that," he added, but said that such levels depend on success of labor market initiatives and maintenance of quite strong economic growth of at least 2%.

In September, unemployment rate increased to 12.5% from 12.4% in August, according to latest estimates by the Labor Ministry.
