American hip hop group Public Enemy will be playing the Stodoła Club in Warsaw Oct. 29.

Public Enemy got together in 1982 and have been heavily involved in the struggle for Afro-American rights since day one. Their output is generally classified as political hip hop.

The band’s debut album Yo! Bum Rush The Show which came out in 1987, sold by the truckload and was lauded by the critics. They have since released another 11, the most recent being How You Sell Soul to a Soulless People Who Sold Their Soul? from 2007.

Public Enemy are particularly known for their energetic stage act. Over the course of their 20 years, they have gone on nearly 60 concert tours and given more than 1,300 concerts in 45 countries.
