Classic Canadian Metal

Canadian metal legends Annihilator are coming to Poland for two gigs as part of their European tour and are lined up for the Progresja Club in Warsaw Oct. 26.

Annihilator first got together in Ottawa in 1984. Their first album, Alice in Hell, was released on Roadrunner Records in 1989 and has gone on to become a thrash metal classic. The original lineup featured Jeff Waters on guitar, John Bates on vocals, Paul Malek on percussion, and Dave Scott on bass.

Bates and Scott parted company after two years and Waters relocated to Vancouver, where he put a new band together. Annihilator has seen no end of lineup changes since then with leader Waters being the only original member. The group has him to thank for its coherent sound over the years.

Annihilator has shared the stage with such legends as Judas Priest, Pantera and Trivium. Their current tour is to promote their 13th album, Annihilator, which came out in May.
