The European banking union will be beneficial for the European Union and Poland itself, NBP central bank head Marek Belka said during a conference on the future of European economy in Warsaw.

"The banking union will be beneficial not only for the European Union but also for Poland," Belka said.

Poland's central bank is hosting the 2nd Annual NBP Conference on The Future of the European Economy entitled "A reconfiguration of Europe - the Central and East European Perspective."
