The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Polish Vodka Association (PVA) and the Belvedere restaurant have organized the third series of Polish Cuisine and Vodka Academy meetings for the wives of foreign ambassadors in Warsaw.

The first meeting took place Oct. 12 and the other two will be held Nov. 3 and 23. During the events, the women learn about traditional Polish hospitality, study the recipes of national Polish specialties and find out how to serve food with Polish Wyborowa vodka. Karol Okrasa, a popular Polish chef, will give the women a taste of some of the most characteristic Polish flavors and teach them how to cook Polish dishes.

Through the meetings, the organizers want to make foreign ambassadors and their spouses familiar with the local culture and tradition, as that can help promote Poland in other counties.

The meetings will close in December with a traditional Polish banquet at the Palace of the Foreign Ministry, attended by the heads of all diplomatic missions in Poland and their spouses. The guests will be treated to exquisite dishes and cocktails and the participants of the Polish Cuisine and Vodka Academy will receive special certificates.
