A new golf course opened in Sobienie Królewskie near Warsaw Sept. 25. Golfers can enjoy nine holes for now and another nine will be available in a year’s time.

The first two tournaments at the new course saw players such as Marcin Wójcik and Michał Wójcik from the well-known comedy group Kabaret Ani Mru Mru playing hockey player Mariusz Czerkawski. Participants in the event hosted by actor Robert Rozmus included Paweł Laskowski, vice-president of the Polish Golf Union.

The facility consists of a golf academy, a driving range for practicing long and medium-range shots as well as a putting green and a chipping area. It will be Poland’s first links course, suitable for both experts and beginners.
