Jon Lord, a founding member of the legendary Deep Purple band and considered one of the world’s best keyboard players, is coming to Poland for just one concert on Nov. 10 at the Kongresowa Hall in Warsaw.

The title of the concert, Concerto for Group and Orchestra, is taken from a Deep Purple album from 1969. The album featured a concert Deep Purple recorded with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. It was composed by Lord, combining rock with symphony music. Lord, who has a classical music education, has won acclaim for his masterly blending of the sounds of a symphony orchestra with rock.

During the Warsaw gig, Lord will be accompanied by the Karol Namysłowski Symphony Orchestra from Zamo¶ć, conducted by Tadeusz Wicherek, featuring soloists Kasia Łaska and Steve Balsamo.
