Singer, composer, music producer and occasional actor Tricky, the voice of Massive Attack, will give a concert Nov. 4 at the Palladium club.

Tricky (real name Adrian Nicholas Matthews Thaws), regarded as one of the originators of the trip-hop genre, started writing lyrics at the age of 15. He had his stage debut with a group called Wild Bunch, which later became Massive Attack. The group recorded two albums with Tricky, Blue Lines and Protection, considered some of the most important albums in trip-hop history.

Tricky left Massive Attack in 1995 to embark on a solo career. His debut album Maxinquaye was released that same year and instantly became a hit with both critics and audiences. Tricky has released nine solo albums to date and the latest, Mixed Race, came out in September this year. He has worked with the likes of Björk, PJ Harvey, Cyndi Lauper, Alanis Morissette and Anthony Kiedis and John Frusciante of Red Hot Chili Peppers fame.
