Revolution at Pizza Hut

Colorful cocktails, creative starters, soups prepared on the spot, a wide range of pastas, gourmet wines, tempting desserts… something is afoot at Pizza Hut.

The Pizza Hut Pasta Festival was held in the chain’s restaurants during September and October. Every type of pasta dish from a rich menu could be tasted for a one-off payment. Poles love their pasta and they put away four metric tons of the stuff during the promotion.

Pizza Hut’s pasta menu has everything from classic dishes like Spaghetti Bolognese down to the light vegetarian Pommodoro and the more full-bodied Penne Salmone. We can recommend their house pastas, like Farfalle di Concretto and Lasagna Neapolitana. These come straight from the oven and are exclusive to Pizza Hut. Pizza Hut has a lot of other new additions besides pasta dishes. Soups were introduced fairly recently. The delicate cream of tomato soup, pureed on the spot, and the onion soup served with toast and toasted cheese pander to Poland’s many soup lovers.

Pizza Hut has also broadened its range of appetizers. These make great snacks to go with beer as well as a prelude to a Mediterranean feast. Among them are quesadillas, mushroom specialties served hot with a side serving of cheese and grilled bacon, and succulent barbecue-flavor chicken wings. Other novelties include bread fingers, crostini and potatoes in herbs. These go beautifully with meat starters and barbecue or garlic sauce.

Cocktail Hut has been set up around beers and is bound to be of interest to anyone on the lookout for something new. “Those of our cocktails with exotic names like Pina Colada, Mojito, Pink Grapefruit and Monaco are invigorating and mostly geared towards women,” says Magda D±browska, the person responsible for coming up with the recipes for drinks at Pizza Hut.

There are also new desserts consisting of seasonal fruits—with strawberries, cherries and apples to choose from—baked in a crunchy crumble and served with a dollop of vanilla ice cream.
