American rockers 30 Seconds to Mars are appearing at Warsaw’s Torwar Hall on Dec. 14. This will be their second trip to Poland this year, after performing as one of the headline acts at the Coke Live Music Festival in Cracow in August.

30 Seconds to Mars was founded by actor Jared Leto and his brother Shannon in 1998, originally as a family hobby. Their first album, 30 Seconds To Mars, did not come out until 2002 and sold 200,000 copies. It was their next album A Beautiful Lie (2005), recorded with producer Josh Abraham (who had previously worked with Linkin Park and Velvet Revolver), that brought them international success. The band’s third and most recent offering, This Is War, came out at the end of 2009. They have also released two concert DVDs—A Beautiful Lie-Deluxe Edition (2006) and To the Edge of the Earth (2008).

30 Seconds To Mars are famous for their videos, in which they often reenact scenes from films. They have a fantastic rapport with their fans and often invite them onto the stage—as they did in Cracow. As a further tribute to their fans, the group released their last two albums with thousands of different covers, each showing faces of fans.
