The Australian Pink Floyd Show is coming to Poland for the fourth time. Hailed as the best tribute band in the world by British broadsheet The Times, the Australian Pink Floyd Show is coming to Rzeszów, Płock, Sopot, Bydgoszcz, Lublin, Katowice and Warsaw. Their Warsaw gig will be held at Torwar arena Jan. 27.

TAPFS started out low key enough, working the Aussie pub scene in the late 1980s. Today, more than 20 years on, they stage an awesome spectacular which has been fine tuned to perfection and which delivers faithful renditions of the performances of the legendary British group. TAPFS has hired acoustic specialist Colin Norfield and lighting technicians who have previously worked with Pink Floyd.

TAPFS appeared at the first international Pink Floyd fan convention in 1993 and played at David Gilmour’s 50th birthday three years later. Richard Wright and Guy Pratt joined the musicians onstage to play “Comfortably Numb.” Pink Floyd members frequently show up at their gigs.

TAPFS will be presenting a program that gives a good cross-section of Pink Floyd’s music during this year’s Pink Floyd’s Greatest Hits World Tour 2011. This will be the band’s biggest show so far and will feature advanced 3D visualizations, a quadraphonic sound system, a new stage, new animation, lasers and other spectacular special effects.
