This year’s Internationale Grüne Woche (IGW—International Green Week) fair in Berlin will be held Jan. 21-30. This year is special in that Poland is the fair’s Partner Country, which means that Poland and Polish food will be involved in all promotional events at the prestigious event.

As Partner Country, Poland is sure to draw the attention of the German public and media to Polish food and gain wider international recognition. For the fair, Poland has adopted the motto “Polska …schmeckt!” which is combined Polish and German for “Poland Tastes Good.” Visitors to the event will be able to familiarize themselves with Polish flavors by taking a culinary trip across Poland. The project is a follow-up to a campaign that Kujawy-Pomerania province started in 2009 under the slogan “Culinary Tour of Kujawy and Pomerania.” On the trip, Poland will also demonstrate its culinary and cultural heritage, tourist attractions and agrotourist farms.
